The Windsor Lions have been actively involved in supporting the Windsor Foodshare for over five years now.

Since 2017, they were providing food for some 25 families in the borough. Families who relied upon Foodshare in order to be able to feed their families that week. The number of families supported by Foodshare has increased significantly, with some 80 families (200 individuals) now supported each and every week.

The Foodshare operates on two days of each week - a Wednesday and Thursday. During these two days the Windsor Lions provide a wide range of support each week in all aspects of the Foodshare - sorting food donations received, collecting regular food donations from local supermarkets, bakeries and greengrocers, and delivering food to those families not able to get to the Foodshare in person due to mobility issues. This is in addition to supporting operations on a Thursday of each week when the bulk of the clients arrive at the Foodshare to collect their weekly food supplies. 

 

We take great pride in being able to provide support to such a worthwhile charity as the Windsor Foodshare.
