DOES YOUR COMMUNITY PROJECT NEED SUPPORT?
Introducing Windsor Lions’ Den.
This is a competition open to small local community groups, and local charities who are based in Windsor and surrounding areas *. Please note the competition is not available to large, or branches of nationwide charities.
To enter either individually or working as a team to present a viable business plan to provide either:

A new Community Project, that will benefit either a specific group within the local community, or the wider local community itself, or
-
A project to provide ongoing fundraising support for their chosen local charity or good cause.
* Area is Ascot, Datchet, Eton, Horton, Sunningdale, Sunninghill, Windsor and Wraysbury.
There is a prize of £10,000 (shared by the winning teams) to invest in the stated project for the benefit of the team’s community project.

What happens when?
We have not announced dates yet for 2024. Watch this space...
But the process follows these steps:
- Launch Competition.
- Closing date for Funding Request.
- Selection of Finalists
- Final, Presentation to Judging Panel in Windsor
- Results announced
- Windsor Lions Awards Evening
All applications will initially be reviewed by a judging panel, who will short list five entries to go forward to the Final.
FAQs
What will the shortlisted applicants be asked to do?
The finalists will be expected to present their project to the judging panel, and may be asked questions relating to their Application Form, and or from the contents of their presentation.
Each team or individual will pitch for up to 6 minutes to the judging panel. The Judging panel then has up to 6 minutes to ask questions to clarify any points.
What happens then?
After the presentation, the panel will then adjourn to discuss all of the presentations to decide which entry has the most plausible business plan.
The results will be announced by (tbc). The Winners will be invited to the Windsor Lions Awards Evening in (tbc).
What area?
The project should operate in one or more of the following areas, Windsor, Ascot, Datchet, Eton, Horton, Old Windsor,Sunningdale, Sunninghill and Wraysbury and everywhere in between.
What are the T&Cs?

Completed entry forms must be received either by post, online Registration, or via email.

Entries received after either of the closing dates will not qualify for the competition.

Submission of a completed entry form acknowledges acceptance of Entry Criteria.
