MENCAP
Mencap is an organisation that supports people with a learning disability. The organisation’s aim is to make a significant and measurable improvement to people's attitudes towards people with a learning disability, whilst also improving their quality of life. One way is to create stronger friendships and relationships and be better connected to their communities.
The Windsor Lions helps Mencap by collecting members from their homes, taking them to their club and return later in the evening to take them home.
It may not sound much, it is after all only three hours of a Lions Club members time, but to the Mencap members it is something they look forward to every week, and to us Lions it is so rewarding to see the enjoyment these Mencap members get from their weekly outing.
